Light Art

This project was definitely one of my favorites. It was cool to have to think ahead and plan out what we would have to do and then being forced to work with the time constraint on the camera. It was also cool to see all of the different effects we could create with different tools and the different tactics we had to use to solve the problem of our photos being unclear or blurry. The biggest problem was getting the face mask to show up and not be just a blob of light.

Landscape

If you were in my painting you would smell the crisp pine trees and the clean air at the higher altitude of the mountains. You would feel the cool air blowing and see the snow at the peaks and the shadow on the dark side of the mountains. You would hear the woodland creatures in the trees and the brush and grass low to the ground.
My use of the color blue in the majority of the painting heightens the sense of a cooler temperature while the green pine trees make the smell of the pine needles on the ground and on the trees. The snow caps on top of the mountains also improve upon the illusion of the temperature.

Adobe Illustrator

These are my flowers and what I like to call sunbursts that I made in Adobe Illustrator. I had the most fun changing the colors of my flowers and sunburst.

Clay

For the clay project we started in the ipad lab to brainstorm without needing to waste clay. This is one of the best items that I created in the ipad lab and was my original inspiration for my final clay project.
We then went back to the trailer to create clay rattles. I decided on the design of a rhinunicorn (rhinoceros/unicorn) for my inspiration. When I was finished with the overall shape and began working on the texture I decided to take one of the ears off and put a sort of burn mark on the right top side of the rhinunicorn's head and put 3 holes in the wound.

Zentangles

Zentangles are when you simply create random designs based on lines, curves, and shapes. It is easiest with multiple people to build your shapes off of so that the zentangle can grow a lot quicker and cover a larger area.
It is also helpful to have multiple people because a lot of the time their ideas are different than what you might have done so it creates more variety.
The hardest part of this project was creating different designs. As we got to the later days of the project a lot of our zentangles started to look the same and we had trouble creating a bigger variation to them.

Forced Perspective

The forced perspective project was all about.....perspective. It was most fun finding different ways that we could use perspective to get pictures that no one else might think of. Creativity was very important and there were so many options to use. They key to forced perspective was understanding the use of foreground and background. The hardest part of many of the pictures was getting the two objects to line up perfectly to make it believeable.
